Sketching, painting and doodling since I was old enough to hold a pencil, I have been a bit of an artist all my life. Those who know me as a journalist and communications professional may be surprised to discover that my first degree was in fact in Design – at the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in New Delhi, India. There, I honed my skills and developed a characteristic style. Later, I taught illustration and art history at NIFT Mumbai for a couple of years, and since then, have been painting for joy and doing commissioned work for family and friends.
