A blend of classical and transitional
In this project, I used the traditional Indian architecture of the home as base notes for a design palette that was clean yet luxurious, modern yet classic. Art plays a big part in the aesthetic of this home in the New Delhi National Capital Region, and much of the living room design was conceptualised around the showpiece art.
Some of the furniture was custom-made and shipped from Hong Kong as the family wanted to celebrate their years spent in the Far East, while other pieces were handpicked from local markets. The result is an elegant amalgamation of styles, that bring together Indian, Balinese and Chinese influences.
